A big thanks to all the volunteers who helped to make this third summer fair another success.

Shanghai Willyís Day in the Sun

Saturday, August 24th and the people in Mineville are ready to have a summer fair from 12 until 4pm. With games, activities, and information booths, along with food and fun; this yearís fair is set to be the best yet. Everyone interested in having a good time in a fun filled atmosphere is welcome to join us. You can find us by taking the 107 highway from Cole Harbour, until you reach the Mineville/Lake Echo exit, take a right turn and continue on until you see the festivities before the mailboxes at Bennet Park.

The Mineville Community Association, Nova Scotia Youth Conservation Corps, along with Halifax Regional Municipality, and many dedicated volunteers made this fair possible. The NSYCC crew Tabi and Jacob worked with HRM members Andrew and their supervisor Julie to develop the park and involve the community in the outdoors; while also educating youth to be responsible and knowledgeable in the environment and to ensure residents tested their drinking water regularly.

If you missed the fair on Saturday, then donít hesitate to drop by the park sometime and enjoy the grounds, to walk the dog, or take the kids for a day in the sun.
